TRIVIA Tetris was released in December 1988.
Tetris was a very popular game in Japan. Taito partnered up with Sega to convert unpopular games like "Master of Weapon" or "Rastan saga 2" to Tetris (on the Taito B system). Later, Taito produced Sega's Tetris on the Taito H system as a very limited release.
This version of Tetris is also notable for it's "Power-on Pattern"; the game will always give you the same order of blocks upon the game booting up or power cycling. This is also referenced in Sega Tetris on the Sega NAOMI, where this specific Power-On Pattern will be given to you upon reaching the credits.
