CURIOSITÀ
The JV-880 was one of the first members of Roland’s highly influential JV series, which became a standard in 1990s studio setups.

It used PCM waveform-based synthesis rather than analog or FM synthesis, reflecting the dominance of sample-based sound engines in the early 1990s.

The module supported expansion cards (SR-JV80 series), which significantly increased its sound palette and longevity in professional studios.
