    Series 5mx © 1999 Psion.

The Psion Series 5mx is an upgraded version of the Series 5 PDA, released in 1999, and part of Psion’s EPOC32 generation.

It features a clamshell design with a large 640×240 grayscale touchscreen, a full sliding QWERTY keyboard, and a faster 36 MHz ARM710T processor. The device runs the improved EPOC32 operating system, offering pre-emptive multitasking, better memory management, and a more advanced graphical interface.

Compared to the original Series 5, the 5mx includes improved system stability, faster performance, enhanced applications (word processor, spreadsheet, email), and better synchronization capabilities with desktop PCs.

It is widely considered the most refined model of the Series 5 line.
