TRIVIA Atari Basketball was released in May 1979, selling at an MSRP of $1695.
The large trackball used in this game is the same one used in "Atari Football", "Atari Baseball", and "Atari Soccer", as well as the Upright and Cockpit versions of "Missile Command".
An Atari Basketball unit appears in the 1982 movie 'Tron'.
Michael Jackson used to own this game (upright). It was sold at the official Michael Jackson Auction on Apr. 24th, 2009.
